The charging case for the Beats Studio Buds and Beats Studio Buds+ both charge with a USB-C cable.

You can mix and match colors of your case with your Beats earbuds, but you can’t pair the Beats Studio Buds+ earbuds with the Beats Studio Buds case. In fact, if you place the Beats Studio Buds+ earbud in the Beats Studio Buds charging case, your earbud might beep, letting you know the case and the earbud are incompatible.

Similar to the earbuds, the Beats Studio Buds come in black, white, moon gray, red, ocean blue, and pink. Meanwhile for the Beats Studio Buds+, the color selection is: black/gold, ivory, cosmic silver, and transparent.

Manually Checking the Model Number

One way you can check which earbuds you have is by checking the model number. The model numbers are on the back of the Beats earbud, but the text is tiny. Don’t worry as there’s an easier way to check the model numbers. You can check the model numbers through Settings if you have it connected to an iOS device.

You can check the model number through the settings by:

    1. Open Settings
    2. Select Bluetooth
    3. Select My Device
    4. Scroll down to the About section where you'll find the Model Number, which will be A + 4 digits.

Once you find the model number, you can look down below this chart to figure out which model of Beats earbuds you have.

To find which kind of Beats earbuds you have:

  1. Go to the Beats App.
  2. Click on My Beats
  3. Scroll down until you get to Under the Hood. The product name should be there.
