It doesn't work

I've tried charging in two separate Beats cases for a week. It appears to be charging but I can't be for sure because I can't get it to connect to any Apple device. My sense is that it's related to the earbud not being updated to the current BF8 firmware, but I dunno. Sending her back. Shouldn't have to work this hard to get an earbud to pair.
